How to play Craps

Craps is a popular casino game played with a pair of dice and any number of players. The object of the game is to roll a total of 7 or 11 to win. Each player takes a turn rolling the dice. Each time every player in the game shoots once, a round is completed. The first player to shoot in each round is said to be rolling the "come out roll". The player who is rolling is called the shooter. If a player rolls a 2, 3 or 12 on the come out roll, he has rolled "craps" and the round ends. The stickman gives the shooter five dice, and he chooses any two of them to roll. According to the rules of craps, the player must decide before picking up the dice which hand he will roll with. Craps tables have walls within which the shooter must throw the dice. The dice must bounce off the far wall of the table in order for the toss to count. While a player is shooting, the other players are not allowed to touch the table. This is to prevent a player who is not the shooter from touching the dice or interfering with the roll.
